Evergreen Point Bridge (S.R. 520) Measured Mile
View from South

Although the chart shows the measured mile on the North side of the bridge, it is now actually on the South side.  There are a variety of markers in various places on the bridge, but the mile markers can be determined from the above diagram.  On the west end it is on the ninth pillar from the end, and on the east it is on the eleventh pillar.  These pillars have faint spray-painted X's on the north side as well.  There is also a half-mile marker.

The green stripe marks on the north side are 1.0 kilometer course marks (used primarily by crew teams.)  There is also a half-kilo stripe in the middle.

Speed in knots = 3600/t on the mile course

Speed in knots = 1943/t on the kilo course

t = running time in seconds.
