Held at Percival Landing Park in Olympia, the Olympia Wooden Boat Festival welcomes wooden boats of all types, their owners and crews for a super fun weekend. Typically, the Pacific Northwest Fleet has made the OWBF a four-day event. Our plans are to meet in Gig Harbor on Thursday, May 8 for a CYA potluck and music session. We will depart Gig Harbor about 1000 Friday morning and catch the flood in the Tacoma Narrows. This is always a fun weekend and I encourage you to attend.
Now for the details: There is something for everyone at the OWBF. Events this year include live music, the children's boat building booth, touch tanks, nautical oriented displays, arts and crafts booths and the International Food Alley. This is a GREAT event. If you have not attended in the past this is your year to begin. Please contact Ed and Suzie Docherty ("Phantom") at (360) 866-1315 or email ednsuzie@mindspring.com for more information.
