Olympia Wooden Boat Fair

24th Annual Olympia Wooden Boat Fair
May 10th & 11th, 2003

Held at Percival Landing Park in Olympia, the Olympia Wooden Boat Festival welcomes wooden boats of all types, their owners and crews for a super fun weekend.

Typically,  the Pacific Northwest Fleet has made the OWBF a four-day event. Our plans are to meet in Gig Harbor on Thursday, May 8 for a CYA potluck and music session. We will depart Gig Harbor about 1000 Friday morning and catch the flood in the Tacoma Narrows. This is always a fun weekend and I encourage you to attend.

Now for the details:
You will need to register for this event before April 12th. I've a few entry forms and will be happy to mail one to you. Registration fee is $45 and includes moorage Friday and Saturday, a commemorative plaque, one hat and a catered breakfast for two on Sunday. Shirts, hats and additional breakfast are extra. The Sunday morning breakfast will be at the Phoenix Inn this year, starting at 0900. There will be a 100 person limit at the breakfast, so get your registration in early. Last year they did sell out.

There is something for everyone at the OWBF.  Events this year include live music, the children's boat building booth, touch tanks, nautical oriented displays, arts and crafts booths and the International Food Alley.

This is a GREAT event. If you have not attended in the past this is your year to begin. Please contact Ed and Suzie Docherty ("Phantom") at (360) 866-1315 or email ednsuzie@mindspring.com for more information.
